Chest X-Rays- A Deeper Dive

If you are feeling good about the basic structured approach to the interpretation of the chest X-ray then we can go a little deeper in this short course to help your understanding further.

Get into the nitty gritty!

Basic interpretation is just the start of reading the chest X-Ray. I teach the ABCDEF approach in another lesson so if you are comfortable with that then we can move on to some more complex X-rays with plenty of examples.

What will we cover?

In this lesson we will look at lobe collapse and how it appears depending on which lobe is involved. We will understand why it looks like it does on the X-Ray.

We will look at the positions of pneumonia's depending which part of the lung they are affecting.

Cardiogenic versus non cardiogenic oedema will be covered as well as pneumothorax.

The position of the trachea and abnormality of the hilum will also be covered.

Fibrotic changes will also be discussed with some examples to help understanding.
