Welcome to my Online School.

I am an Advanced Critical Care Practitioner in the United Kingdom. I have spent 30 years working in the Intensive Care unit and now work along side the doctors doing many of the tasks done only by them in the past. I have a Masters Degree in Anaesthetic Practice and also have the Critical Care Practitioner Podcast in iTunes.

I have been an Associate Professor at the University of Warwick in the UK and taught on their Masters level courses aimed at those undertaking advanced practice.

Years of Teaching Experience

I have been teaching health care professionals for many years now. I started working in Intensive Care back in 1996 and at that time there were no on line resources to access- there was barely any internet at all.
So I started by reading textbooks and occasionally being taught by my colleagues at work as well as attending some study days. Learning then was not as easy as it is now!

In 2010 I built my website 'Critical Care Practitioner' where I have, over the years, built a learning resource for others. You can also access my podcast from there, Critical Care Practitioner Podcast, which now has over 140 episodes and has been downloaded over 400,000 times. This allowed me to network with others around the world and share their experiences and knowledge.

I went on to start producing teaching videos on my YouTube channel and these have proved very popular.

Finally I also run occasional Facebook Live webinars to share some of my experience and knowledge.

Don't Just Take My Word For It.......

Thank you
 - these are great for anyone extending their practice, e.g. tACP, jACP, PA, junior Dr, Physiotherapist, etc. Get the basics of interpretation right and you’re made for life. Well worth the tiny fee. I fact I’m going to use them for some revision.

Garry Swann- Founder of the ACP role
